Just as its tongue-twisting title suggests, this popular projects involves the distribution of small American flags to youngsters at parades, fairs, picnics, school events or other community happenings that generate large crowds. The flags are absolutely free to the children and can make a great souvenir of the occasion.

This is an effective program designed to cultivate a deeper sense of patriotism and to heighten young American’s appreciation and admiration for our country’s flag. Most Clubs organize or participate in one or more every year.  But for the BIG one, Clubs have joined together for this annual District-wide event since 1992.

Houston Live Stock Show & Rodeo Parade
                 Saturday, March 4, 2017

Exchangites from all around the District, come together to promote Americanism at one of the largest parades in  the country.  En masse, we head up the route just before the parade starts, handing flags to children anxiously awaiting the parade.
Bring your kids, they love participating in this.

Meet at Downtown Tranquility Park (corner of Smith and Walker). Streets close at 8 am, so arrive early.
